Dealing with Difficult People!
How to Blunt the Impact of Dealing with Difficult People Immediately!
Have you ever noticed how your interactions in dealing with difficult people can mar your whole day? Have you ever had trouble just kind of shaking it off a little bit? And you tell yourself, “Hey, just ignore that person and move on,” but the feeling still lingers? It just sets the tone for the entire day. The reason for this is because we don’t counteract the difficult person’s aftertaste.
So after dealing with a difficult person, you need to immediately go into a positive environment. Go have a cup of coffee with a friend or co-worker, or read the comics. Laugh about something. Immediately start working on a project or task you enjoy. If you work from home, call someone who you know will be nice to you! Any of these things will blunt the impact of that difficult person. The reason why that difficult conversation mars your day is because you are processing the emotions. Or, you’re so bothered that you’re processing the emotions of that interaction.
To blunt the impact, save the processing for later. Once again, the first thing you have to do is shake it off, and get immediately into a positive environment. This will give you a new perspective to process your emotions. Good luck!
